Jayna is 18. Older than Mikrean and Veyani. She is level headed and a bit less passionate than the other two. Not to say she isn't emotional. Jayna is known to be the compassionate sort, almost "motherly" towards her siblings.

The Candidates were all Searched from their family cothold where they farmed vegetables. Their parents forbade them leaving for the Weyr but the three siblings wanted to go and therefore found a way. Now they are at the Weyr. Illiterate, learning to read and write at the Weyr.
