Strands always seem to escape though, too stubborn to stay pinned back, giving her a slightly disheveled look by the end of the day. Her brown eyes tend to take on a red-ish shade because of the color of her hair, though when they are on their own with no strands framing them, it’s obvious they are a vibrant earth brown. Shorter height(at 5'4" with a few more inches to grow), and a mostly average figure, with a few curves, she has yet to fully grow into her body, and is by no means skinny, nor chubby. She is gently tanned, but nothing overboard, she spends about the same amount of time both indoors and outdoors.

She normally has a belt as well, with a pouch hanging on one hip, containing any odd bit or item she might think she may need. A small belt-knife hangs from the other hip.
Gather: She dresses up for a Gather, owning a nice dress. A loose under-dress of a dull red-purple color, trimmed in yellow-gold embroidery on the sleeves. The sleeves flair from her upper arms/shoulders down. Atop the loose gown is a more snug-fitting brown over-layer. Short sleeves compress her upper arm, and around her torso. The edges of the brown over-layer are trimmed in the same yellow-gold. The bottom edge moves in a diagonal from one hip, to her knee on the other side.

History:✣ Little does she know, but Keket’s past is riddled with conflict. She is the daughter of Chorong, though she doesn’t remember at all. She was a little over a year old when the rebellion hit, and her family fled for their lives. The baby, her older brother, and their mother were swiftly separated from their father, never to hear from the man again. The three took shelter in the Hold, barely scraping by. Their mother knew that they were being pursued, but she had to think about the life her children were having. They didn't deserve to be on the run constantly.
It was while they were there that something happened. Their hunters found them, finally tracking Chorong's wife and children down. Keket's brother was lucky enough to be off on an errand when the men came. Their mother had word though, knew they would be there soon. She couldn't just leave, Yeonu was still off. The woman took the toddler, and hid her away in a store room.
"Stay there until I come for you, be sweet." A brief kiss on the head as the lid closed over her head, and the toddler wiggled in the half-empty crate of linens. Unfortunately, the items in that room were set to be shipped out, and after a time, the child fell asleep.
She awoke as light hit her eyes, and the serving woman opening the crate was quite startled to see the cargo within. The woman’s name was Hylee, and she took pity on the child as Keket started to cry. She took the girl in, telling everyone it was her neice, having never had children of her own. She told Keket that her mother died, and that's why she ended up with her, and Hylee never knew who her father was.
It didn’t take long for Keket to become fascinated by the dragons of the Weyr, and she could often be found lurking around the bowl, or the weyrs, and would gladly fawn over any dragon that would let her. She used to make up little songs for each one, and sing it at them when no one was looking. It was one of these instances, when she was about 10, that a visiting Harper overheard her. The man recognized that she had potential, and found out who’s daughter she was, and invited her to the Harper Hall.
While she was sad to see her beloved dragons and her dear mother go, she was very excited to attend, and immediately arrangements were made. When she arrived, she Apprenticed along with several other’s to the Songmaster. It was a totally different environment than the Weyr, but she adjusted quick. Afterall, she had music. She lived on quite happily in the Hall, honing her voice and Harpering skills. She had always loved singing, but she found she enjoyed making visual records as well, so practiced long and hard to be able to draw decently.
Seven turns later, when she was seventeen, a visiting Rider from Fort came and she got a true surprise. She was Searched, and even though she was very unsure if she wanted to go, the Hall reassured her that if she was left Standing, she could return and continue her studies. So she set off for her birth home, and ended up on the Sands just in time, only being at the Weyr a few days before the Hatching started.
The large crowd made her a little nervous, but it didn’t last long. After the first few eggs Hatched, she felt something, deep in places of her mind she had never thought existed. The pitiful green was petrified, and that heartsong wrenched at Keket’s own chest. The girl pushed forward, catching her Passerith’s head and cooing at the Green.
And there she was, Harper-turned-Weyrling. She would have jumped at the chance to be a Rider back before she had entered the Harper Hall, but after spending her early teenage years there, she was sad to see that path taken from her. Of course, she would never have had Passerith, and life would be meaningless.
Personality:✣ Loves dragons, animals ~ Automatically more comfortable around dragons, and other animals such as runners, etc. She feels less pressure to be talkative around them, and more able to just be herself.
✣ Loves music ~ She feels like she can put her
self into the sound, live through the music. There is something in her that feels safe, at home, when she sings. There has always been a certain tune that drew her into music, something from her early, early childhood that she can't quite place. But because of this, music has always made her feel good.
✣ Loves drawing, recent discovery ~ While she has always felt safe with music, since attending the Harper Hall, she has discovered she enjoys drawing, and producing sketches. While not naturally talented at it, she has practiced and worked at improving her skill.
✣ Enjoys the wilderness ~ She finds a sort of romance to it, and loves nothing more than finding a quiet spot that overlooks emptiness. No buildings, no people, no civilization. Wild. Free. Sometimes the view inspires a song, sometimes she will attempt a sketch of it. Though she holds no hope to be able to match the emotion of such a scene.
✣ Friendly, polite ~ Raised in a busy Weyr has let her become accustomed to seeing strange faces often. She grew up learning manners, and while she’s not afraid of meeting strangers, it’s unlikely that she would go out of her way to meet people. She prefers quieter moments, but if she has to, she can put a smile on and talk, be friendly. Even if it is a bit of a lie.
✣ Not prone to developing deep relationships ~ While she has many ‘good acquaintances’, she cannot think of anyone she would call a ‘good friend’. She played with the other weyrbrats growing up, and she had a group of other girls she ate lunch with and studied with at the Harper Hall, but she never truly created any deep connections with anyone.
✣ People irritate her at times ~ When people take unnecessary steps to do a simple task, she can get impatient with them. Also, she wouldn’t make a good teacher, because she would most likely get impatient with a student that was struggling to grasp something.
✣ Keeps herself presentable ~ While girls who spend hours with their looks and become upset if they get dirty irritate her, she has no problems taking an extra couple minutes to make sure her hair is brushed, and her face is clean. She tries to wear clean clothes, at least at the start of the day. She knows she is pretty, and has no problem looking good, as long as she does it in a practical manner. It wouldn’t do to fawn over herself, and forget her chosen responsibilities.
Shortcomings:✣ Awkward in some social situations. When confronted by a large crowd with their focus on her, she hesitates for a moment, before forcing herself to shrug it off. If someone she knows gets deeply emotional, she is unsure how to handle it, having never gotten truly close to anyone.
✣ Can be impatient at times, especially if she finds something easy, and someone else is doing it slow. She is more likely to just try to politely take the task over and get it done, rather than wait for someone to do it slower.
Mannerisms/ Habits:✣ Hums or sings to herself often and for no reason, and sometimes about random things. (i.e. She’s sitting by a flower, and then suddenly sings to it, “Pretty little flower…”) When she's upset, or unhappy, she tends to hum a specific tune from her past.
✣ Runs fingers to push strands back behind her ear, even if there aren’t a whole lot of loose hairs present. It isn't that she's worried about how she looks, more like a nervous habit.
Skills/ Likes:✣(Skill/Like 1): She loves to sing, with or without instruments, and for no obvious reason. Song has always been an ultimate 'happy' for her.
✣(Skill/Like 2): Enjoys doodling, sketching, drawing, any of it. While she had to talent from an early age, she's practiced to improve this skill.
Unskilled at/ Dislikes:✣(Dislike/Unskillful at 1): She’s useless at musical instruments, which frustrates her teachers at the Harper Hall. She can't make them, can't fix them, can't play them. Years of trying and pushing from her instructors have made her resent them if they are in her hands.
✣(Dislike/Unskillful at 2): When people drone on and on about nothing. She would rather sit in comfortable quiet than have to have the air filled by useless prattling.
✣(Dislike/Unskillful at 3): She's awful at cooking. She's tried a bit, and everything always burns, or isn't cooked completely.
Fighting Style/ Weapon of Choice: She’s never fought, and never held a weapon.

Her hide is one solid color green, a dark jungle green. She has black claws.
Born fearful, Passerith hates being left alone, especially by her Rider. She seems to constantly have “bad feelings” about everything, and Keket often has to push her to do new things. Passerith is constantly with Keket, often touching the girl some way or another, a head in her lap, or a brush of a wingtip or a tail to reassure she is still close to Hers. Other than those things, the Green is sweet spirited, very kind, and often surprisingly gentle. She seems very aware that she’s bigger than Keket, and other people, and always holds that fact in her mind as she nudges, and coos and whines for reassurance. A very innocent mind, she’s gullible, and it’s often up to her Rider to reassure her about something, especially at times when another dragon(*coughDraugarthcough*) says or does something mean. A very talented Green, she catches on quick, learning new things swiftly(such as Wing training). To match her Harper of a Rider, Passerith is also blessed with a beautiful voice, and can often be heard crooning in her throat along with her Rider’s singing.
