Final Haven Weyr

Before humans made their trip from their first home on Earth. Before Pern was discovered. There was prejudice. The differences between others would always spark conflict be it skin color or race among people. Though humans have migrated from one planet to another, from one home to another, and have lost their histories to the sands of time, prejudice will always continue to follow in the shadows, awaiting a time to tear unity apart.

Change. Who would have thought that such a simple word could cause such catastrophic events? Such disdain for the new and different that even the dragons themselves resisted the possibility that something could be unusual and still be acceptable? That is what prejudice does not just because of the birth of change, but because of the birth of the new Siren.

Pern has been split in two, those who support Final Haven, the home of he Siren and her new Jewels of Pern, and those who would see her dead. War rages between all of the Weyrs, brother against brother, sister against sister, and dragon against dragon. Coupled with the murder of the Final Haven Weyrleader by Benden hands...things are not looking good for peace on Pern. One side only wishes acceptance while the other desires the destruction of that which they refuse to accept.
