Of Bats and Dragons - Rancyo Weyr AU Pern RP

Long ago, Ranyco Isle Weyr was just a lonely island in the middle of the ocean. People once tried to settle it, but were driven away by a volcanic eruption. No one dared try to resettle, for the threat of another disaster drove them away. Many Turns later, a Southern Bluerider went out on patrol, scouting the land for a future Hold. That was when he discovered the island. Returning home as quickly as he could, he reported to his superiors about the island. It seemed too good to be true; the island was not claimed by anyone.

But there were others who wanted the island to themselves. Benden, Southern and Fort all wanted to have it to themselves, but in the end, they all agreed to send a select few to settle the island. After careful consideration, the group traveled to the island and rebuilt the old Weyr.

Time passed and the Weyr grew in size, slowly but surely. A Hold was founded on the island, and more people were coming to stay. But one night, everything changed. A group of riders, known as the Felikriders, emerged from a rip in space. The Senior Goldrider pair welcomed the newcomers and allowed them to settle in the island's forest, as long as they didn't cause trouble. Only time will tell of they can be trusted.
