Black Sands Weyr

Bandits have slain all but one Queen. The former Weyrleader and his Ruby have been murdered.

Only Auralina and her young Ebony Queen remain as Leaders.

In this chaos-stricken Weyr, isolation plays against them. No help has been offered by the other Weyrs, and fear and uncertainty reign. Patrols are constant, and hunts for the Bandits run deep into the jungle. Destinith is due to Rise, but will any of the Weyr's males dare to Chase, given the former Weyrleader's bloody ending? Dragons in the sky are targeted by the bandits, and flaming arrows have claimed many.

The Holds are also in turmoil, due to the disappearance of people from the cotholds. The Big Four have not been targeted, but their outliers have, and they hide within their stone buildings, going out only when they have to. Distrust against the Weyr is high, and there are those who demand that the Weyr figure out what is going on and soon.

Rebellion threatens, and the Red Star begins to loom within the Sky. And on top of that, strange calls have been heard within the jungle depths, high and shrill, and strange egg shells have been found.

Will Black Sands survive the turmoil? Or will the Skyborne fall?
