| Detailed Ongoing Plots by Region Click the links below to view in detail the ongoing activity in each region of the board currently in play. This will keep everyone up to date on activity in RP threads. Thread links to specific events included. - Fort Weyr's Ongoing Story :
Turn 500 ~ Summer Weyrwoman Karene is continuing to push for the reopening of Igen Weyr. More Searches will need to take place, more tithes will be demanded. All of the various signs of Thread's return are turning up gradually, though these signs have for the most part only been taken heed of by the Weyrleaders. A few diligent Holders question the signs and begin to recognize them, but someone needs to take the first step in revitalizing Pern's efforts to fully prepare for the inevitable. There are only seven turns left until the day that will alter the course of all their lives forever. So Fort's Weyrwoman has taken it upon herself to present the depth of those challenges before a host of Pern's leadership. Plans in actionThrough a series of negotiations involving Telgar and Igen Holds regarding a border dispute as well as the Tithing required for the new Weyr which is to be opened, Telgar's Heir is to be wedded to the daughter of Igen's Holder in order to bind their contract and assure future relations remain positive. Turn 500 ~ Autumn Shortly after their betrothal however, Igen's daughter was kidnapped and the group of Rebels responsible attempted to frame Telgar's Heir for it to incite further conflict. Setting plans into motionTurn 501 ~ Summer The Weyrs who are helping in the rebuilting process of old Igen Weyr, have been approached by Lord Matoi of Telgar Hold to join him in cooperative efforts to show a united front against any disturbances which might be caused by the resurgence of Chorong Rebel activity, or the activity of any other dissenters. It is suspected that there has been some infiltration by the rebels, of the personnel of Igen Weyr, who are left relatively unsupervised. Thus, a team has been sent to investigate. Upon deeper investigation, riders begin to discover just how far back in time the treachery reaches, hoping to cull out the Chorong agents. Just as the riders are called upon by Lord Matoi in Cooperative efforts, they are given a new mission to assist a caravan taking tithe goods to Igen Weyr. On their way to rendezvous with the caravan however, they find out what lies beyond the trees, between them and Igen. The Caravan is attacked by hidden camps of holdless -or were they rebels?- just before their arrival. Turn 501 ~ Autumn Fort Weyr's Weyrwoman gives birth to a healthy baby boy and goes back to work full time, making plans for a forward patrol and a Headwoman to be sent to Igen Weyr so that they can avoid future treachery amoungst the staffing there, and cull out any remaining rebels. In the mean time, the final tithes of the Turn have arrived via Trade caravan., and the Fort's Harvest Gather is in full swing, accompanied at the Weyr by a magnificent masquerade.. Turn 502 ~ Spring Arcane Skies clutch graduates and receives their new assignments to join full service wings. The dragonriders of Fort Weyr once more join Telgar to hunt down rebel camps, embarking on a joint Reconnaissance Mission. A map found on a raider's dead body is believed to hold the clues to where these hidden locations are at. Unbeknownst to them however, the map was planted by a double-agent in their midst. The riders now follow these clues, being led on a wild goose chase through Telgar's southern wilderness, far from the actual rebel hideouts. That doesn't mean they don't run into trouble, though. Around this same time, the Weyrleader Meets with the Dragon's Venture, making further preparations for the move to Igen Weyr, as they have also transferred a few additional personnel there to start occupying additional roles there. Turn 502 ~ Summer Shortly after the Poetry of the Air Clutch is laid, a wayward candidate sneaks onto the sands to feel the still-soft dragon eggs. Naturally protective Galadrieth mauls the candidate, but fortunately no damage is done to the young embryos. The unfortunate candidate however, is another story. No other unexpected events occur before the exciting day of the Touching, on which the candidates each took their turns to feel a few of the hardening eggs. And just a month later, on a perfectly Beautiful Morning, those same eggs began to hatch. To everyone's surprise, there was an impression from the stands, and TWO Queens that broke out of their shells. Though no other grave incidents take place within the Weyrs walls, the stormy season is upon them, and a fierce hurricane, unlike any in recorded history, slams Big Bay, but continues to gain steam as it approaches Ista. The island territory is at the mercy of the elements and loses nearly half of it's Weyr overnight. Similar tales of loss could be told for the surrounding Holds. In their time of need, Fort Weyr is the first to respond; her weyrleadership always at the ready. Calling all riders and weyrfolk to action, Fort dedicates itself to organizing aid for Ista, sending some of its riders there permanently, to help rebuild. This includes one of their junior Queens, who will rise soon and bring a much needed raise in morale to the decimated weyr with the laying of a healthy clutch. Though more weyrs get involved, the efforts to give aid to Ista will cause a postponing of the re-opening of Igen Weyr to the north, as Ista takes precedence.
- Fort Hold's Ongoing Story:
Turn 500 Fort Hold territory is home to the Red Star's Revenge and its crew of former Privateers who turned to smuggling activities. They run their course all along Big Bay, making stops in several ports, both small and large, effectively leading any suspecting Hold Guardsmen on wild goose chases wherever they go. The Dragon's Venture also has a satellite headquarters at Fort Sea Hold, where the heir of Keroon Holdings has taken up residence for the time being. They arrived through the morning fog, on their trade ship, spewing smoke from the dragon's mouth. The company will need to reside at Fort Sea Hold for a while, as they continue making preparations for the day that Changhui, the son of the late Keroon Lord Holder, will make his official return to their homeland. So, here they bide their time and run their Beastcraft Trade, protecting their secrets. [Read more on this plot under the Keroon Hold ongoing story section.]
- Telgar Hold's Ongoing Story:
Turn 501 ~ Winter A small group of rescuers from both Telgar and Igen were sent to retrieve the Lady Eolyn and her Lady in Waiting Courisse. Telgar's rescue party was delayed and while waiting for their arrival at the rendezvous point, Igen's Guardsmen were ambushed and slain. Telgar's rescuers had to alter their plan of attack and make due with small numbers to achieve their goal, putting themselves at an undesirable disadvantage. In the end, they succeeded in rescuing the Ladies of Igen, but not without casualties of their own. Thrill of the huntTurn 501 ~ Spring Telgar River Hold is a new, destination hold just south and west of Telgar Hold itself, is going into its third turn of construction. It is not as large as Telgar Hold, but matches Telgar in architectural majesty, as it will soon become home to the new couple Rihan and Eolyn. Young Lord Holder Rihan's cousin Drien has recently accepted the position of Steward at TRH. A business proposal for Drien. Lady Courisse, the Cousin of Lady Eolyn, has also be reappointed recently, as the Headwoman of Telgar River Hold. This new hold has become the center of attention in Telgar as gossip and excitement spreads about the young Lord's betrothal and wedding. Many people have begun to travel to the area in search of work and in order to play a part in the wedding. Telgar-Igen weddingSince the event of the kidnapping, the Rebels responsible have been regrouping their people, resources and efforts because of the losses suffered in the confrontation with Telgar and Igen's rescue teams. They have relocated their main base of operations and are preparing for a resurgence in renewed efforts to reclaim victory in their rebellion. A man of Telgar bloodline origin is the leader of a group of exiles. The original exile of noble upbringing was the eldest son of the Lord Holder of Telgar at the time, but his status was stripped for a crime he committed and he was made holdless. A few who were loyal followed after him, going to lead their lives in silence and humility as far as the rest of Pern was concerned, being almost completely erased from hold records of having ever existed. This particular branch of the family was exiled three or four generations ago for (whatever undecided as of yet) crime; just far enough back in history that this branch of the Blood has been relatively forgotten. Kazage, the descendent of this branch of Telgar's Family has long dreamed of attaining the same heights of glory as his ancestors and reclaiming his rightful power and influence as a holder. To prove his Blooded heritage, he is in possession of a Telgar Signet ring that belonged to the original Exile as well as a sword once held by the Heir. These things he uses to "inspire" others to work in his favour. He now has his hands in dealings with other holdless bands, a vessel of smugglers under the control of Captain Thatch and the gradually more active Rebels. Kazage was actually the one who provided the connection between Thatch's smugglers and the Rebels to help supply them with the weapons and other goods necessary to carry out any of their plans. Of course, it was to gain any measure of their trust in him in order to achieve his own goals. But now that he finally has caught the Heir of Telgar's attention, his eyes are focused on how to prove himself to Telgar's Holders to have himself reinstalled as a member of the Holding Family. In the aftermath of the failed kidnapping/murder of Lady Eolyn, Kazage betrayed the Rebels and made his first move to garnering Heir Apparent Rihan's favour by protecting the Heir's fiance and slaying the Rebel's Second in Command. Of course, it was not without having been cunning enough to make certain that once the Second in Command was dead, he himself would be positioned to take his place due to previous negotiations with the Rebel's leader. Though this places Rihan in Kazage's debt, he now finds himself under the even more watchful eye of the Rebels, as the turn of events is rather suspicious. Thrill of the huntNow, being in Kazage's debt, Telgar's Heir Apparent Rihan, must decide how to repay him. Would he go so far as to attempt re-writing him into their bloodline? What kind of political feat would that require? And does he trust the man enough to do so, regardless of the fact that he owes the man a great debt for keeping his wife alive. My hold has become your courtyard. How is this?In previous decades now written off to history by most, Telgar's Lord Holder Matoi found his territory in the midst of a great upheaval caused by a small number of Minor Holders in the land. Their appreciation of the Weyrs did not follow that of their greater Lord Holder, so as the Weyrs began demanding a larger portion of tithes to supply the ever growing numbers of dragons, they took the additional tithes from the peasants and, unbeknownst to anyone but themselves, refrained from sending the tithes, hoarding the wealth away for themselves. As the Weyrs, at a loss, began pressing the Holds for the yet-to-be-received increase, thinking that they were simply not willing to share an increase in produce, the people at large were of the understanding that the Weyrs had only grown increasingly greedy. Hadn't they already received an increase in tithes? Couldn't they be satisfied? Of course, this by-product of the Minor Holder's greed was how they had planned on rousing more people's discontent against the Weyrs. If they had more support in their malcontent of Weyr expansion, then they might be able to sway more Holders to their views, thereby putting an end to the unnecessary tithes altogether. This ever more discontented general populace however, became so vocal about their unhappiness with the Weyrs that, even before Lord Matoi had the opportunity to investigate the matter, civil uprisings were cropping up all over the map. The territory was split by a tearing of heated political views and people who felt they'd been wronged; and it was not so easy to appease them by that point. The fallout of the catastrophic series of events was enormous, like none other experienced in their lifetime, nor the lifetime before. Inevitably there was bloodshed before there was peace again, prompting the Lord Holder to make plans for securing the peace of the future. Commander Kondo of the Telgar Guard had taken in an orphan named Toshiro several turns before, and had boarded him at the Guard Hall as a live-in student. Seeing as though the conflicts at that present time left many children lost or without parents, the Commander made the suggestion that they collect a number of eligible orphans, of the right young age and Male, and enroll them in an early Guard training camp where they would find their needs provided for. Not only would they be saving a number of children from a life on the streets without education, but they would be raising boys loyal to them to defend Telgar from future such occurrences. Since there was a chance that the entire plan would be viewed as questionable in a political light and the boys would be more of a secretive force anyway, the Holder and his inner circle of confidants guarded the information about the orphan training camp closely. The boys of course, were given a choice to join or not and they went through a months' long trial to be able to continue on to become a full fledged member of what was then dubbed the Blood Moon Squad. Blood Moon SquadRecently, in response to the kidnapping of Lady Eolyn, now married to Heir Apparent Rihan of Telgar, a select number of the boys having completed training as far as the camp was concerned, were sent to serve Rihan in Telgar River Hold. Of course, knowledge of the Blood Moon Squad is still guarded, so its members are eventually required to take the Telgar Guard Exams that will allow them to act officially as Guardsmen for the hold, even if it is with higher privileges. First Squad Division, meet the boys of the Blood MoonTurn 501 ~ Summer The Chorong Rebels were a group of dissidents (recognized as traitors), formed under their first leader, Chorong, during Telgar's past uprisings. It is all a terrible blemish on Telgar's past. The Chorong Rebels organized the kidnapping of Lady Eolyn and Courisse of Igen and have begun regrouping themselves after suffering heavy losses due to their failed plans. They have relocated their main hub of activity and are positioning themselves to begin using holdless bands to start making 'randomized' raids on trade caravans headed to Igen Weyr as it is being re-established. They have also begun hosting an active fight-club within a seedier district of Southern Telgar Hold in order to recruit top fighters to their cause. The man who was primarily responsible for organizing the group into an official force to be reckoned with, was killed when he attempted to rescue his son from the Blood Moon camp nestled deep within Telgar's mountainside. His son however, was left there to be raised as a member of the Blood Moon Squad like a cuckoo chick; once he was grown, they would have an easier time retrieving him. He would be trained in the ways of the Blood Moon Squad and have earned their trust. It could all be used to their advantage. In case that anything should happen, Chorong had entrusted the care of his heir to his closest friend, who now stands at the head of the Rebels. He is in search of Chorong's son in order to re-establish contact and persuade the young man to join them. Turn 501 ~ Autumn With the Chorong resurgence at full speed ahead, the rebels are taking their first active steps in obtaining their goals. Once more, they are a fortified force to be reckoned with, They have obtained the compliance of Chorong's Heir, and their plans will soon to be fully underway. They had been focused on the planting of false evidences and infiltrating the enemy, gaining a stronger foothold Within, but recently, a very unexpected opportunity just happened to fall into their lap. One of Lord Matoi's own sons happened to participate in their fight club -which has been used for recruiting purposes. So, when he was recognized by the Chorong's First Daughter, Sorcha, who was able to persuade him to meet with her there in private, she didn't hesitate to take his life. Luckily, there was another present, whom she left the blame for. It would be a massive blow dealt to the Lord Holder and his family, leaving them scrambling for answers, diverting their attention from the Chorong threat. Ermon's murder by Sorcha, and the framing of Telgar's First Squad Division CaptainWhen news of Ermon's death reaches Heir Apparent Rihan and Lady Eolyn find out about his brother's death, only a handful of days after the stillbirth of their first child, they are hurried on dragon back to Telgar Hold to grieve with the rest of the family. Only, there, he discovers that his friend Toshiro, has been framed. Rihan leaves Telgar Hold for the South, where the Captain of the Guard is being detained. There, he is able to identify him and arrange for Toshiro to be freed. Unable to do so by public declaration of the Captain's innocence however, Rihan must do so by other means. Meanwhile, he's keeping the Guard busy with hunting down his brother's real killer. The "Settlement" is the most recent buzz word in Telgar. Amidst the decision on just how to repay the Exile Kazage for his part in saving Lady Eolyn's life, it was decided that, with the return of Thread in just a few short turns to come, it would be ideal to work as many holdless back into civilized society as possible. They would be able to contribute to production of goods and services and help bolster numbers in the hold for the time when dragonriders would be in greater need -thus taking many men and women on Searches. Amoungst other reasons, were that there would be fewer holdless to be recruited or used by the Chorong Rebels for their own purposes, and it would help create a greater feeling of hospitality in favour of the holds in the eyes of others. Of course, this was all said and done in part to justify the acceptance of the Exile Kazage into the fold of titled persons in the Hold. Kazage had only been truthful with them, and fully cooperative for his part. It was necessary to attain what he wanted. Nevertheless, the Hold could not accept him so easily; so they'd come up with the plan for all holdless who desired to be re-integrated into the holds, to sign their families under a registry and then, provided they met all the proper qualifications, they would be assigned to work in their trades of choice so that they could build a new life for themselves, without having to worry about Tomorrow. It was an attractive offer, granted that, though there were some who simply preferred life free from the holds, many were just as desperate to settle down and not have to struggle so hard through winter months or wonder just where their next meal would come from. Given Kazage's background, and his innate ability to inspire others to follow him, it was just as well that the Telgar Holders offered that he should be the one to unite the holdless there, at Telgar River Hold, as their Steward. Kazage would work closely with Telgar River Hold's own Steward, Drien, and provide oversight of the holdless settlement there. The holdless would be much happier to learn that they had a say in their own future, knowing that a man of their own likeness was going to be taking part in the leadership there. Having a hand in decision making and in the building of the Settlement would allow them all to feel as though they held a greater stake in it all. Being a wealth of knowledge concerning Telgar's Holdless in general, Kazage and his band of former exiles, have been able to spread the word pretty well, about the Settlement and its opening. Thus far, many families have begun making their way to Telgar River Hold's new Settlement district to take advantage of the Trial Period given them to prove themselves honest, upright citizens like any other. Kazage too, is left to make it through his own trial if he should ever want to become a holder in his own right, in the future. For now, Steward would have to suit him just fine. In fact, Kazage and his band have been amoungst the first holdless to move themselves in. On the Fourth Day, the accused Captain Toshiro manages to escape, going into hiding until he receives further word from Lord Holder Rihan. Knowing that it's unlikely he'll arrive back at Telgar River Hold in time for him to see his fiance give birth to their first child, he writes to her, for what could be the last time. In the mean time, Chorong's heir, Yeoun, travels with the current rebel leader's daughter, Sorcha, in order to visit Lord General Galedon in person. It is the first time that either of them have stepped foot in the new rebel stronghold, so both arrive with a good deal of apprehension about what to expect. Especially since they both anticipate receiving new directives from their leader. A single Beautiful Performance at a sevenday's end gather at Telgar River Hold errupts into a free for all when the Rebels overturn a trunk full of counterfeit marks into the streets, hoping to spawn fear and distrust between the Hold and the Holdless, making it seem as though someone is attempting to manipulate the markets. Turn 502 ~ Spring In Telgar, the tide was moving, slowly on the rise, as the Chorong Rebels positioned themselves to take advantage of their growing monopoly on trade throughout the southern region. Their move in the north to devalue the average Mark had been successful in driving business south as distrust grew in light of the more unstable economy there. It was a time of insecurities, when Both Good and Evil Could Only be Red. A time when it was difficult to tell what was what amoungst all the confusion and growing atmosphere of uncertainty and fear. After meeting with the Lord General Galedon, Yeoun, the Chorong's Heir, took on the greater responsibilities of becoming Galedon's right hand man, ensuring that the General's work would be done out in the field. Of course, Yeoun had to prove his dedication to the task first; he was sent to slay Dace of the Blood Moon Squad -his best friend's brother. With no loss of love in his heart for his friends he'd grown up with, Yeoun stabs Dace, trying to avoid fatal injury to the boy, but leaving the impression that he'd done exactly what Galedon had ordered him to do, so that his loyalty to the rebels went unquestioned. Because, if Yeoun really hoped to achieve his goal of taking over the Chorong for the purpose of disbanding them, restoring peace back to Telgar, he would have to deceive both sides; As the rule went, To Deceive Your Enemies, You Must First Deceive Your Friends.Shortly after he'd 'disposed' of Dace from the Blood Moon Squad, Yeoun went on to Entertain the Lord Holders Fear by paying him a visit within the private walls of his own Hold. Demonstrating the true face and ability of the Chorong, Yeoun gave Rihan fair warning, letting him know what enemy he was really up against; but he also took it as an opportunity to gauge the Holder's personality, wondering if at a future time, he might be able to barter for the freedom of the people who followed after the dissident leaders of the rebel faction. After all, the people by and large could not be held at fault for being sold into false hopes of a revolution that should never have been fueled to begin with. Now the rebels bide their time, focusing on supplying, arming and training the men that they have recently recruited from the Fight Club and elsewhere. Only, the summer's uneventful months could easily be considered the calm before the storm.
- Keroon Hold's Ongoing Story:
(The plot line below is in need of additional roles to be filled; including private guards; Beastcrafters; ship crew; Traders, etc.) Keroon had long been a territory at peace, but the vast expanse of its land was less developed than say, that of Fort. With more territory to spread out over, it's population was not as centralized and its economy depended greatly on its seacrafters, farmcrafters and beastcrafters more than any other trade. Outside of these trades, the people of Keroon had long been focused on the pursuits of the arts, sciences and politics, spending less of their energy on things such as martial practices -though that did not mean they'd completely abandoned such things. There had been no severe martial conflict in the territory for a very long time, nothing that local policing forces couldn't handle by themselves anyway, and the people were known for their hospitality and kindness. That however, did not exempt any of them from the possibility of corruption. It was no secret that too much of anything could turn into a bad thing; so it was that too much influence or too much wealth could turn into spiritual rot. For the family of Changhui and his twin brother Jiyu, that is exactly what happened. Changhui was born a twin son of a Lady’s Maid and the Lord Holder of Keroon, whose wife was unable to carry a pregnancy to term. Changhui's birth mother, Koeuri, was a cousin to the Lady Holder, and the most high-born of any of his father’s lovers. Yongmun favoured her since she was the only handmaid closely related to his wife. It was even talked about that he would take her as a second wife. His favouritism for the children she bore him was apparent, even though they were much younger in age than his eldest son, and for those reasons, he named the eldest of the twin boys, Changhui, as his successor. At least, that's what people were led to believe...Only, things were not as simple as that. In reality, knowing that her husband had planned for the the son with the greatest compassion to take his place, since the Lord Holder showed no real preference in public, the Lady Holder and her cousin Maid acted to make it seem to others as though Koeuri's own son had been his secretive favourite. This decision created a lot of rivalry between the eldest of his sons and the twins due to each mothers’ claims to rightful succession. The depth of the conflict between the mothers of Lord Yongmun’s illegitimate heirs was not realized until he was diagnosed with tuberculosis and eventually passed away. Unbeknownst to all but the highly skeptical however, the Lord Holder's illness was a misdiagnosis. In truth, over some months, he'd been slowly poisoned -by the jealous mother of his eldest son. Before his passing however, Lord Holder Yongmun had crafted a symbolic sword to be inherited by the son who should show the most heart and courage amoungst them. This sword however, was hidden away by the Lady Holder, and a new one crafted in its place, bearing the name of the 'rightful heir', Changhui. The script which was engraved there would secure the knowledge of whom the late Lord Holder had truly chosen to become the next Lord Holder of Keroon. In the Turn after the Lord Holder’s passing, Keroon was led by its Steward with Changhui being raised under his charge, having many dedicated attendants who assisted him in his education, supporting his father’s decision to have him succeed the position. But, what had been told as the Lord Holder's final decision on an heir was not accepted by everyone, and thus the hierarchy of women in the hold was thrown into much disarray. Those who opposed Changhui taking his father's place -and at such a young age, when there was already an older male heir- made quick work of intervening on the Eldest sons’ behalf, before the younger could stake any real claim as Keroon’s next leader. Their sons however, were too young still to know just what chaos brewed around them. The only truths they understood, were those their mothers told them. So, each of the boys lived in a way, and with frightening thoughts one toward the other, without knowing any better. And all for the sake of their individual mothers' ambitions. Almost two turns after his father’s passing, in turn 487, those who supported the late Lord Holder’s Eldest son designed a plan for a fire to break out, trapping the Lady Holder and her cousin with the twins, in order to dispose of them once and for all. The plans were carried out to near perfection, but two of the Lady Holder's handmaids were able to rescue the boys from the fire. Koeuri could have also escaped the fire, but knowing that those responsible would come looking to identify bodies to ensure their deaths, she remained, accepting her fate in order to try and protect her sons and the possibility that they would one day be able to reclaim their future. Understanding that the boys lives would always be in danger, the Lady Holder’s handmaids decided to split the twins up. If anyone came looking for them, they would likely be looking for twin brothers, not for individual siblings. That day would be the last the twins saw of eachother. One was given everything. The other was given nothing. Their destinies were forever changed. They were brothers torn apart, and like the death of their mother, it was a necessary sacrifice to attain what they would be told later, was their father’s true will. The false sword bearing the evidence of Changhui’s right to succession was not thought to have been completed by the time of his father’s death. The sword however, had indeed been completed and it was hidden away, like the original, with one of his most trusted advisers -a man who was amoungst the Masters in Keroon's Ministry of Crafts. He, amoungst others, had foreseen the situation that would arise after the Holder’s death, and gave aid to the Lady Holder until the time of her death. So, even thereafter, the swords remained in hiding, the Ministry of Crafts being aware that some might simply choose to destroy them. In this time after the Lord and Lady Holder's deaths, and the assumed deaths of their twins, the eldest of Yongmun's sons moved to take the stage. Of course his mother stood behind him, pulling the strings until he was able to stand in the position with his own power. One of the twins, Jiyu, was hidden away in a humble home who could look after him. There, he would draw no unwanted attention, and he would be able to live life more peacefully, never knowing the hardship that came with his past. Handmaid Sienne on the other hand, protected young Changhui by fleeing the territory altogether, taking the twin to her family’s home in Igen. Disguised as a group of merchants, traders and crafters, Sienne took with them a number of the Keroon Guard as well as a few others loyal to Changhui’s father. They would all serve the boy as he grew up, and help guide him. Sienne did everything in her power, using familial connections in other territories to build up a trade organization, the Dragon’s Venture, that would serve as a front for their continued activities in Keroon. The Dragon’s Venture would sustain them and they would amass a wealth of means substantial enough to support Keroon’s true Heir and then one day, he would return to his homeland, where they would overthrow his brother’s rule. For public appearances’ sake, and to ensure an unbending focus on their one goal, Dragon’s Venture’ chief leadership role falls on the Lady Sienne. Changhui however, stands at the head of them, but in order to protect his identity, he is not allowed to be involved with the official signing of documentation or attending of trade meetings -anything that would put him in an undesirable position. It was better to keep his role in the Dragon’s Venture a secret. The young Master of the group however, is kept well informed and does his best to do what he can in playing a part in their success in what ways he can. Which is why he can sometimes be found directing their guard and helping overseeing other aspects of the storing and transporting goods -it keeps him occupied when he wants to be, but keeps him out of the spotlight. Changhui has grown up being provided all the things suitable for a Lord’s son. His retainers have been diligent and protective over him, teaching him all that he would need to know to provide Keroon with a worthy Lord Holder one day. Most of his life has been spent in Igen, though he has traveled a lot between the all of the Dragon’s Venture headquarters -all except for that of Keroon. This is again for the purpose of ensuring that his identity is kept in the dark. Furthermore, it is forbidden that any within the organization speak his name. He is only known as the “Young Master”. Recently, the group has been building onto their Keroon headquarters, further setting the stage for their coup. They have grown in numbers, having leaked information about the truth of Changhui’s survival to a select number of men having at one time been supportive of Holder Yongmun. This has assisted in the expansion of his own personal Guard, which will follow him to Keroon Hold one day to help him carry out his mission. Their connections within the Hold itself to other supporters has also increased. Due to this, they have begun hunting for the engraved sword so that they may reclaim it. Turn 502 ~ Summer Turns have passed since the young hopeful, Changhui, has returned to set foot on Keroon soil. But with preparations nearing their end, the Dragon's Venture poises itself to take their Heir Presumptive home so that they can move into the next stage of their plans to help him reclaim Keroon for his own. Unbeknownst to the Lord Holder, who only recently became engaged to be married, his younger brother is about to make a move to reveal himself, letting Izayan know that he is alive. Unfortunately for the brothers, who were raised believing that their only desire was to usurp power one from the other, there may be little hope of peaceful reunion between them. When, in actuality, the deadly ambitions that led them to hate and fear one another belonged not to themselves, but to their mothers. They'd become a pawn in a game to obtain greater position, each being told that it was the other who was at fault. What will happen now, when they are reunited, after turns of living under the illusion that Changhui was dead, and that Izayan was out to kill his brother? Will the reunion usher about a change of heart for them, or will The Ashes of Memory haunt them, causing them to live on in hate and fear?
